Midterm 3

This is Midterm 3 - Saving photos in popular web formats. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://immersiveeducation.org/@/bc/

GIF, PNG, and JPEG images above. The directions said to save as and choose the corresponding file formats, but it didn't list any other options such as jpeg, png, or gif.  I used export as instead and they had all the file extensions available.

Midterm 2

This is Midterm 2 - Semus the Cat. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://immersiveeducation.org/@/bc/

I used the textbox tool (letter "A") to create the box at the bottom of the screen.  I then took a screenshot and then wrote my name with a paintbrush. I couldn't figure out how to paint directly on the image (without the screenshot) because the layer's were not working for me.

Midterm 1

This is Midterm 1 - Fixing a RedEye. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://immersiveeducation.org/@/bc/

The top two images show the kid with the red eye, one in GIMP, and one of just the image.  We used the eyedropper tool. We first used that tool and clicked on the kids eye that was NOT red so that would have that color in our palette.  I then used the brush tool, and zoomed in on the eyes and clicked a few times, until the eye was all the same color (that was in the palette).  After zooming back to 100% (instead of 400%) the kid looked like he never had red eye.

Class 2, Assignment 9

a little small, but it worked. I used Notepad.

Assignment 2-2: My GIMP Photo

This was one of my first football games at BC. It was a lot of fun...although I can't remember if we won. The "Alexandra" is in pencil, and "Wong" is in paintbrush...and I smudged the people around me.

Assignment 2-2: What is Immersive Education?

This is the introduction of the entire documentation by prof. Walsh.

Intellectual Property explains more about how our work is secured through iED, and that is something that they worked hard to achieve.

Prof Walsh explains what Immersive Education is.  Exmaples are listed on the screen...Virtual worlds, LearningGames, simulations, and full, augmented and mixed reality

Alexandra

Hi my name is Alexandra. I am a senior studying corporate systems at Boston College.  I grew up in Boston, so I didn't go very far for school.  I am a fan of all the Boston sports teams, as is my entire family. I have a dog named Lucy, she's a Pit bull whom our family loves very much. I currently work part time in Boston doing commercial insurance, and once in a while, I chaperone 6-8th grade dances at the town high school gym. It's a lot of fun, and is close to my heart since I used to be one of those kids attending those events.
